2005 New Year Prayer Ceremony at Tiger Beach Golf Links |

| The first sunrise of a new year marks the beginning and rebirth of everything. A Prayer Ceremony held by Tiger Beach Golf Links at the first light of 2005 brought together many golfers and families on the golden shores of the Yellow Sea to witness this special occasion.
Welcoming the first sunrise of the new year has become a tradition at Tiger Beach. The same tradition is celebrated each new year in South Korea, just across the water from Shandong Province. Each year golfers come to Tiger Beach to enjoy the fireside ceremony with their families, warming up in the dark, getting prepared to undertake their first round of the new year.
In the still of the dark, with the cold wind blowing in from the sea, the cool atmosphere did little to dampen the enthusiasm of those gathered. With the flaming bonfire highlighting the smiling faces, the new year’s prayer was read out in both Chinese and Korean to the awaiting players. When the first sun began to rise in the horizon, the people cheered and made their wishes. The first ball was then struck, marking a new year in the young history of Tiger Beach. |

Friends from afar. Distinguished visitors from Angus , Scotland |

The entourage also included Angus Economic Development Manager and Assistant Chief Executive of the Angus Council David Valentine and Angus Council Leader Bob Murray. The group was here to enjoy the splendor of our club, and better acquaint themselves with the sights and staff of Angus County 's own Carnoustie Golf Club's sister course - Tiger Beach Golf Links. In June 2002, Carnoustie Links signed a sister-links agreement with Tiger Beach , the first time that the famed six-time British Open host venue had ever signed with any club ..............
